(1) What is included in the Continuous Educational Program (CEP)?
“Continuing Educational Programme (CEP)” means and includes Workshop, Conferences, Seminars, Training Programmes, Refresher Programs, Certificate Courses, Conventions and Symposia and the like conducted through online or offline mode; Acting as faculty in discharging the duties in Workshop, Conferences, Seminars, Training Programmes, Refresher Programs, Certificate Courses, Conventions and Symposia and the like; Publication of article in any national newspaper, Board Journal, an IPA, a RVO, a Professional Institute or a referred national or international journal bearing ISSN number; Publication of a Book bearing an ISBN number;
(2) When does the CEP compliance become applicable to a member ?
CEP Compliance become applicable from the date of registration of the Registered Valuer with IBBI.
(3) What are the CEP Hours requirements?
Every Registered Valuer Member shall undertake a minimum of 10 CEP credit hours in each Financial Year (FY) and 48 credit hours of CEP in the rolling block of 3 years. The current rolling block of 3 years for CEP is 2024-2027. The year pertains to the Financial Year i.e. 1st April to 31st March.
(4) What are the CEP requirements for a member enrolled for the first time?
For the year in which a member enrolled as a Registered Valuer, his minimum CEP hours criteria of 10 hours shall be allocated proportionately on a quarterly basis and accordingly the total CEP requirement for the block of 3 years of 2024-2027 shall also change accordingly. Please refer Table-1 below for better understanding of the same.

(5) Are there any other ways in which an RV can earn CEP Hours
A member is awarded CEP credit hours by the ICAI RVO based on the learning activities undertaken during the financial year by attending technical session in the CEP Programmes. The following is an indicative format of learning activities in the areas relevant for RVs and credit hours thereof :

(6) What do you mean by “Technical Session”?
"Technical Session" means and include Workshops, Conferences, Seminars, Training, Programmes, Refresher Programmes, Certificate Courses, Conventions and Symposia and the like for the registered valuers and includes opening remarks, short intervals, lunch break, etc..
(7) How to register for a CEP training program?
ICAI RVO regularly conducts CEP training program and details are updated under the upcoming training program section of our website.
A member of ICAI RVO is required to login at https://icairvo.in/Registration/Rlogin.aspx for complete CEP training details and to complete the enrolment and fee payment process.
A non-member of ICAI RVO shall register from https://icairvo.in/Registration/NonRVOMemberForm.aspx and complete the enrolment and fee payment process.
(8) What is the fee of the CEP Training Program?
The fee of the CEP Training shall be approved by the Governing Board of ICAI RVO and shall be credited to the Bank account of ICAI RVO.
(9) How to check CEP Hours Credit?
The CEP hours report of the members of ICAI RVO is hosted on the website of the ICAI RVO and is available at https://icairvo.in/cep-report.aspx for the ease of its members. CEP hours status is now also available in the dashboard.
(10) How many participants can attend a CEP training program?
IBBI vide its notification dated 30th September 2022 has restricted the maximum number of 200 participants (virtual mode) per CEP to ensure the quality of education. Accordingly, the registration of any participant for a CEP training program will be on a first come first serve bases.
(11) Where details of upcoming programs can be seen?
ICAI RVO shall notify the manner for conducting CEP trainings for its members. However, the details of all upcoming programs can be accessed at https://icairvo.in.
(12) Can a person attend programs conducted by other institutions/organisations for CEP Hours ?
The RV are required to attend the CEP programs conducted by IBBI/RVOs for the purpose of claiming CEP hours. However, CEP Program will be awarded only if the Valuer Member attains program for his respective asset class. Program conducted by other institutions/organizations are not eligible for CEP hours
(13) How can a Member claim CPE Hours if any CEP Program is attended from other RVO?
The RVs have to submit the Certificate of Participation to ICAI RVO at icairvocpe@icai.in to claim CEP hours if any CEP Programme is attended from other RVO.
In order to ensure that trainings attended from other RVOs are accurately reflected in your records, it is recommended that you promptly submit your CEP certificates within 30 days of attending the training program.
(14) What is the consequence of non-compliance with CEP Hours ?
The members of ICAI RVO who fail to comply with CEP Hours compliance will be hosted as ‘Non-Compliant’ Member on the website of ICAI RVO under Members > Registered Valuer Members > Compliance Status section. This information on CEP Compliance is being shared with IBBI also.
