Dr. Ashok Haldia is Managing Director & CEO of PTC India Financial Services Ltd. known as PFS. He has been instrumental in development and shaping of PFS in to a premier financial institution in India particular in the renewable space and infrastructure finance.
He has over 35 Years of Experience in power sector, reforms and restructuring, policy and financing of power and infrastructure projects and public sector policy, management and reforms, participative banking, corporate law and governance, formulation of accounting & auditing standards, WTO-GATS, identification and management of stress assets and their resolution including under IBC mechanism.
Before joining on the Board of PTC India Financial Services Ltd., Dr. Ashok Haldia was Secretary of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi from 1997 to 2008, and also Secretary General of South Asian Federation of Accountants – an apex body of SAARC.
He had been a member of a number of committees set up by Government of India, ICAI and other national & international bodies. Dr. Haldia is/was also been Member of the committee/s on ASSOCHAM, FICCI and CII, Member, NACAS, Technical Advisor, International Federation of Accountants Board (IFAC), Confederation of Asian Pacific Accountants (CAPA), and was founder trustee of National Foundation Corporate Governance (NFCG) set up by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India, and Member of Appellate Tribunal for CA, CS, CMAs, and on WTO/GATS, set up by Ministry of Commerce and Committee on Haz Management Reforms by Cabinet Secretariat. He was also part of committee /s set up by MCA on Rationalization and Simplification of the Companies Act, 1956. He was also a member of Consultative Group of Experts on Good practices in Corporate Governance and Disclosure constituted by ISAR, UNCTAD and associated with Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Integral Management (SAFIM), Puduchery promoting governance through inner consciousness.
He has contributed a number of articles in national/ international conferences, professional journals and newspapers.
He is member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Institute of Company Secretaries of India, The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India, and did his doctorate on ‘Privatization of Public enterprises in India’.
